Hey everyone! We're hoping to organize a fun family reunion weekend next summer. The tentative details below should help you figure out if you can make it. Once we have a better sense of how many people will attend, we'll share more details!
Tentative Agenda
- Friday: Beach picnic
- Saturday: Whale Watching excursion followed by BBQ pool party & dinner with live music
- Sunday: Goodbye brunch

- NYC Day with a Broadway Show, museums, or site-seeing
- Local beach favorites: boardwalk, local villages
- Nostalgia trips to favorite NJ places
About the location
We have the option to hold a hotel block at The Homewood Suites in Eatontown which is located in northeast NJ just a few miles from the beautiful NJ shore. Summer is the perfect time to visit when the weather will be warm, the beach will be open and the seafood is fresh. Also, it's just a short distance from NYC (you can take a ferry there!). Plenty to do!
About the hosts
Eric Motzenbecker and his wife Rosemary live in NJ and raised their 4 children (Alex, Bob, Steve, and Colleen) here. They're excited about the possibility of getting everyone together and will be your host for the party.
Steve, Eric's third son, lives in the Jersey shore area with his wife Lauren and their three kids. Their home in Rumson will be 'home base', open throughout the weekend for visiting with family and sharing memories and photos. Dana Casey, cousin to Steve and daughter of Karl Motzenbecker, is also one of the organizers for the reunion. Dana, Steve, and Lauren are the ones to reach out to with questions!
